We love to sponsor mountain bike patrols (and other do-gooders, helpers, and instructors too!). Here's the latest Hero Kit testimonial from one of the groups we sponsor with donated kits:
Just wanted to say thanks again for the sponsorship of the San Dieguito River Park mountain bike patrol. Everyone was super stoked to get the kits. I know I have used just about everything in there at one time or another. The wet wipe went to a scraped up rider after a crash, the zip ties came in handy reattaching a light after a crash on a night ride, I've fixed two broken chains and a shifter cable on patrol and numerous flats. This is a must on any ride. -D.H.
My new Hero Kit could not have arrived at a better time—the first time I pulled out my mountain bike for a ride after receiving it I realized I had an entirely flat tire! As a girl who spends a lot of time riding with the boys, I have always had ( aka needed) a helpful man there to help me change a flat—NO more!
Not only does the Hero Kit come with an excellent set of tools, it also comes with a very detailed instruction booklet that includes great pictures and details to help the complete novice get through a bike repair. Furthermore, the instruction booklet truly covers the basics of just about any issue you may have with your bike, from tire repairs to chain issues to shifting problems. Who knew that pesky gear you haven’t been able to shift into was such an easy fix?!?
Overall, I am entirely stoked on my Hero Kit, simply due to the basic quality of the tools alone, as well as how much is included in such a compact kit. As for my flat? Repaired and ready to ride!!
We love it when folks write to us about their Hero Kits. Keep 'em coming...
We love your products and make our club ride guides carry the Hero Kit, or Sidekick for MTB on all club rides.

I am the Senior Ranger for the San Dieguito River Park in San Diego California. I purchased some of your kits a couple months ago to give to my mountain bike patrollers and they were a hit, the kits are very convenient and a good way to organize the patrol packs.
The water-resistant instruction booklet provides well-organized and clear, yet light-hearted instructions on how to fix specific bike woes.

Pretty exciting to be getting so much media coverage (or at least what seems like a lot to us)! We just locked in booth space for the Outdoor Retailer show in January. Things are moving fast. We should have a 7 product product line in time to show them off in Salt Lake. This will be a full evolution of both the road and mountain bike kits.
Spent a week in Vegas at the Interbike trade show. Interbike is always a total circus and we had a blast! It was an great opportunity to debut the Mountain Bike Standard Kit to industry insiders. We got a lot of positive reactions and some great feedback. Based on some of that feedback, we've gone back to workshop and are beta testing a bunch of new kits and are evolving the Standard Kit for 2013.
Got a suggestion for what you'd like to see in a kit? If so please submit a comment. We will be giving away free kits to folks who submit an idea we haven't thought of (assuming we use it of course!).
We are excited to announce the launch of Hero Kits! We are pleased to offer our flagship product, the Original Hero Kit for Mountain Biking, and will be adding more high-quality products in the months ahead. We hope you'll join our community, and let us know how you became the Hero of your ride. We also hope you will write to us to let us know how we can continue to improve our Kit.
Spread the word! Tell all your friends.
Enjoy your ride!
